Getting the most from your Eco Cookware
Step 1: Wash the cookware thoroughly
Wash in hot water and dry thoroughly before first use.
Step 2: Cooking with Eco Cookware
Ceramic coated cookware is multi-functional and good for everyday cooking like preparing sauces, boiling pasta or rice and making pancakes. It is not designed for high heat cooking or searing meat.
Use medium heat settings to prevent overheating the pan and causing damage to the ceramic coating.
Excessive heat can cause the coating to deteriorate and this is not covered by your guarantee.
Do not expose to oven temperatures greater than 160C.
Extra special care should be taken on both induction and ceramic hobs not to move pans around once placed on the hob to prevent scratching. Scratched hobs are not covered by your ProCook guarantee.
Some tips for cooking on induction hobs
Induction hobs can deliver extremely high outputs. Extra care must be taken to reduce the heat setting as soon as a low-medium temperature has been achieved.
Reduce the heat setting as soon as the desired low-medium temperature has been achieved.
Do not use a the boost setting to heat oil or fat.
Never heat an empty pan – the high output from an induction hob may damage the pan which is not covered by the guarantee.
Step 3: Cleaning those difficult bits
Allow your cookware to completely cool before cleaning it.
Hand wash only using gentle dish soap, warm water and a soft sponge or cloth.
Avoid using harsh scouring pads or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the ceramic coating.
Please note, all ceramic cookware will naturally lose its non-stick release over time, accelerated through high temperature cooking, metal utensil use and dishwashing.
If there are any burnt-on-bits on pans, soak the pan in hot soapy water to loosen then wash as normal.
