What you'll need...

  • 1 large red apple
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • Cooking spray

Method

  1. Evenly slice the apple and remove any seeds. You may want to use a mandoline to achieve thin, even slices. Place the slices in a single layer on a baking sheet and set aside.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

  3. Sprinkle the apple slices with the cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg mix on both sides. Lightly spray the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 150C.

  4. Add the apple slices to the fryer basket, avoiding any overlap.

  1. Air fry for 15 minutes, tossing the apple slices every 5 minutes or so until golden brown and crispy.

  2. Remove and set aside on a cooling rack to cool completely. The chips should continue to crisp up even more.

  3. Serve and enjoy immediately once cooled.
