Easy

Indulgent breakfasts have never been easier with the help of an air fryer. Our air fryer French toast recipe is simple, quick, and perfect for kids or adults in need of a sweet treat.

The best thing about our recipe is that you can choose your own toppings. You can even cut the bread into sticks or little squares for fun French toast bites. We really enjoy topping our French toast with blueberry compote and a knob of butter that’ll slowly melt into your toast while eating.

What you'll need...

  • 4 slices of bread, we like to use sourdough
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 160ml milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar, optional
Our favourite French toast topping ideas
  • Blueberry compote and butter
  • Rhubarb and custard
  • Bacon and maple syrup
  • Hazelnut chocolate spread and banana

Method

  1. Mix the eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon together in a small bowl.

  2. Dip each piece of bread into the mixture and shake off any excess. Place them in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.

  3. Air fry for 3 minutes at 160C then flip over and air fry for another 3 minutes.

  4. Sprinkle caster sugar if you wish and serve with your chosen toppings and enjoy while still warm!
