Easy

A lighter alternative to deep fried sweet potatoes, our air fryer sweet potato fries are crispy, tender and quick to cook.

We use very little oil with our sweet potatoes for an equally tasty yet healthier side dish. We've coated our air fried sweet potato fries with paprika, garlic powder and black pepper for an extra kick. However, feel free to use your favourite spices and seasonings!

What you'll need...

  • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200C. Slice the peeled sweet potatoes into even thick sticks, around ¼ inch in thickness.

  2. Place the sweet potatoes in a large bowl and toss with the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper and salt. You can always add any extra seasonings, like Cajun or BBQ seasonings.

  3. Cook in the air fryer. Make sure the sweet potatoes are spread out and not overlapping. Depending on the size of your air fryer basket, you may need to fry in batches. Cook for 12 minutes or until tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, turning the fries over half way.

  4. Serve immediately, pairing them with your favourite dipping sauce.
