This banana ice cream is very simple and easy to make with ripe bananas, vanilla extract, double cream and sugar.

Simply add all ingredients to a food processor and pour into an ice cream maker before freezing. Super tasty and quick to make, this is an easy treat to make all year round.

What you'll need...

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 400ml double cream
  • 75g golden caster sugar

Method

  1. Leave the ice cream machine’s canister in the freezer the night before you plan on making the ice cream. 

  2. Add all ingredients to your food processor and whizz until smooth. 

  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker’s canister and churn for 20-30 minutes. 

  1. Pour into a freezer-proof storage box and cover with clingfilm and a lid. Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours, stirring every 2 hours. You can leave overnight to ensure it sets properly. 

  2. Remove from the freezer 15 minutes before serving!
